Marquee: There's one thing for certian....Frost better stop worrying about being pinned in a tag team match and start paying attention to his upcoming match. This is not some typical move, move, resthold match. This is as Hell in a Cell match. They can be brutal.
Marquee walks along a sidewalk. His black suit fitting perfectly, a perfect knot tied on his hot pink tie, black patent leather Italian shoes spotless. Behind him BIG Wyte strolls with a determined look on his face, himself dressed to a "t" in a grey suit of his own. An unusual sight to say he least.
Marquee: In wrestling there's a term that gets thrown around at times. The term is "all arounder". It basically means a wrestler that can do anything. A man that can get down and wrestle with the greatest of technicians. A man who can fight it out with punches, kicks, clotheslines. A man who can go into dangerous hardcore matches and hang with the Fuegos and Drifters. A man that's not afraid of taking to the top rope and hit a 360 splash or diving headbutt. A man that's not unlike myself. Every time I step into the ring, I can pull off some of the most technical moves, I can climb the ropes without fear. I've proven that I'm not afraid of a old fashioned fight when I faced off against guys like Ulie Red or my own cousin T-Bomb. I've proven that I can handle brutal matches when I've won numerous ladder matches, two in one night at the grandest stage of them all last year. Now, it's true that I haven't actually wrestled in a Hell in a Cell match in my career....
BIG Wyte points Marquee in the direction that they need to turn during their walk.
Marquee: ....A Hell in a Cell match is probably one if not the most brutal match in wrestling. Alot of people will think that my inexperience in the match could be my downfall. That's quite possible if it were anyone else. That's just not me. I do understand that there's certain things that come along with a cage and nowhere to escape when exhaustion takes over your body. BUT the concept of the match is still the same as any of my "all arounder" matches. Beat up the other guy and get the pinfall before anyone else does. Not that hard. Not for a man like myself.
They turn the next corner and come a walkway that leads to a bay. The camera pans where a perfect shot of Marquee's cousin Firebomb lives. Marquee pauses and shakes his head. He whispers in Wyte's ear. Wyte shakes his head from side to side. The two just stand and stare for a moment.
Marquee: He's not home.
Wyte shrugs his shoulders.
Marquee: I've changed my mind.
Wyte gives Marquee a look that obviously means "whatever".
Marquee: Let me just finish this promo, then I'll decide.
Wyte shrugs again.
Marquee: Frost proved himself to some at Wrestival. He did technically win his match and retain his gold. He did get "a" pinfall. He didn't pin me though. My not winning that match was a simple fluke. I got temporarily distracted by my cousin Tommy. I actually thought for a second about what we were doing to our family in that match, and he capitalized on my weakness. I hesitated in destroying him with a "Grand Marquee". He didn't. Obviously he didn't think care about his family. That was the last straw with me. My chosen family is much more important to me than my blood family now.
Wyte nods towards Firebomb's house.
Marquee: Sebastian, Robbie, Wyte, and Eve are my family. The Commito family has always been disfunctional to say the least. There's a reason I've stayed away from most of them. The NEW Era proved that we won't be held down by the typical Commito/Stryker fashion. First by destroying Shawn Stryker at Wrestival, then taking out Firebomb last week at Silverstars. The money in those cases we carry were just a bonus. Any of the three of us would have destroyed either of those two for free. I'm getting off subject though. Let's get back to Heatwave.
Wyte just ends up giving up on what he had been trying to urge Marquee to do. Marquee looks at Firebomb's house once more and then turns and walks away the way he came, still talking to the cameras.
Marquee: You see Tommy, this time I won't hesitate. This time I'll put you out just like we did your father last week, and just like we did SBK at Wrestival. Do you think Sebastian hesitated when it came to his father? No. Do you think Robbie Milano worried about his father taking opportunities away from him? No. The only one who failed in NEW Era was me. The only one of the three of us who saw family was me. That's over with Tommy. Now does that mean that I'm going to focus all my attention on T-Bomb? No.
Marquee loosens his tie a little, the Miami sun still burning down on them.
Marquee: Frost, if Tommy was the goal of this match, it would be easy just to take out frustrations and anger on him. I've beat him before. The goal for me in this match is to take home one more piece of gold to NEW Era. The goal is for me to take the biggest piece of gold in WPW home to NEW Era. I know to do that I need to finish the job. Meaning you Frost.
Marquee decides to have a seat on a parkbench. Wyte just stands beside him.
Marquee: Frost, you are like a wild horse. You came into WPW like a mustang in the wild. You came in wide open. You won the Roy Lee Rumble and the WPW World title. You won a few matches against nobodies alongside your brother. But like any mustang, your spirit has gotten broke. You've let the fact that not Shawn Stryker beat you, but Lucy U beat you get in your head. Your spirit is broke. That mustang never runs the same after his spirit is broke. You'll never have that same attitude you had when you entered WPW. Your record is tarnished by someone that nobody in WPW saw as more than a "tramp". That will easily be your downfall. The competition stepped up and beat you at Wrestival, and it's going to happen again at Heatwave. Be sure to mark the date on your calender, Lucy U was the beginning of your downfall, and Marquee is going to be the end. As much as I hate to admit it at this moment, I guess I owe Lucy U a thank you. She will be in part a reason for me become World Pro Wrestling's World Champion. So thank you Lucy. Thank you Tommy for showing me that blood family is nothing to me. Thank you Frost for allowing Lucy and the little spat with your flavor of the month break your spirit. Just be sure to keep that belt shiny for me until Heatwave.
Marquee stands up. Wyte points back the direction of Firebomb's house. Marquee shakes his head.
Marquee: Did you really think we were coming out here to deliver a "Get Well Soon" card?
Wyte shrugs.
Marquee: Seeing Firebomb's house just gave me more inspiration for Heatwave. Now I need to get back to the limo and get to the hotel. I love Miami, but this sun isn't agreeing with this suit.
The camera fades as Marquee and BIG Wyte walk off.
