The scene opens with Marquee and his personal assistant Eve Angeles walking into a hotel room at Barcelo Resort. Marquee is wearing a blue shirt, red tie, and grey jacket. Eve is wearing a black skirt and white blouse that is buttoned only to about the half way mark.
Marquee: Five lamps? Seriously?
Eve: What boss?
Marquee: This hotel room....it has five lamps. Why would a thirty by thirty room need that many lamps? Shouldn't the hotel just get rid of three of them. Just a waste of money if you ask me and poor management on the hotel's part.
Eve: Should I call down to the desk and ask them to take away some of the lamps?
Marquee: That's not exactly my point.
Eve: Sorry boss, you've lost me.
Marquee: Okay, keep up here.
Eve: I'll try boss.
Marquee: Grab a pen and some paper off that desk. I think it's time to dictate another letter.
Eve: To ESPN? They never responded last time.
Marquee: That's because Nathan Lucas embarrassed them and they wanted to just drop the whole subject. They know I'm right. All that will be settled after I win the main event and the world title at Wrestival.
Eve: If we aren't sending a message to ESPN, then who is this letter going to? The hotel management? About the lamps?
Marquee: It's kind of about the lamps, but it's not going to the hotel.
Eve: Then who?
Marquee: Benjamin Silverman.
Eve: Why would Benjamin Silverman care about how many lamps are in our hotel room.
Marquee: My hotel room. You are staying down the hall remember?
Eve: Oh yeah (wink). I still don't understand though.
Marquee: You will. Start taking this down.
Eve sits down at the desk and grabs up the paper and pen.
Marquee: To my favorite Board of Directors member.
Eve: I thought Roy Lee is your favorite BOD member?
Marquee: He is, but he's out of pocket right now. I'm sure Silverman will catch the sarcasm more than you did Eve.
Eve: Huh?
Marquee: Nothing, just keep writing.
Eve: Yes boss.
Marquee: Silverman, I know that we've had our problems over the last couple of months, but Wrestival would be the best time for us to leave our problems behind. I'm about to tell you how to gain the favor of the rest of the Board of Directors, any financial backing that World Pro Wrestling has, and all of the fans. You following me Eve?
Eve: So far.
Marquee: As I arrived in Monterrey, I checked into my hotel. When I entered the room I decided to turn on the light. I turned on the main light to the room. Then noticed another ceiling light above the vanity sink. Then noticed two lamps on either side of the bed, then another lamp near the desk, another ceiling lamp in the bathroom, another ceiling lamp and another lamp in the kitchenette area, and then a tree lamp randomly placed lamp against a wall. You'll have to agree that is too many lamps.
Eve: I'm lost.
Marquee: Are you still writing?
Eve: Yes.
Marquee: Then you are doing great.
Eve: Thanks.
Marquee: Continue. Silverman, I know that you are wondering why I'm telling you about hotel lighting. You see I've decided that it's a complete waste of money for the hotel to have this much lighting in one room. If the guests of this hotel never turn on one of these lamps it's basically a waste of fifty dollars or more. If the guests do end up turning on all these lamps, when it's obvious they wouldn't need them, it's a waste of energy. Either way costing the hotel money. You see Silverman, that is how you have been running Silverstars and lately World Pro Wrestling in general. You have been wasting money. That's unheard of from a business man who owns one of the largest internet sporting goods company in the world. This is obviously the reason that you lost Sports Entertainment X Wrestling. Poor management on your part.
Eve: Isn't this just going to make Benjamin Silverman mad?
Marquee: Not at all Eve, because I'm telling him this to help him out.
Eve: You think he'll understand.
Marquee: He's not the brightest man in the world, I mean he did choose Scooter and Nathan Lucas to be in the Roy Lee Rumble. BUT I'm giving it to him simple enough that he should get the point. Now lets continue.
Eve: Yes boss.
Marquee: Silverman, you have been wasting World Pro Wrestling's money, but pushing one shot wonders like Nathan Lucas. I firmly believe that his contract should be voided. You've also been wasting WPW's money by pushing guys like Jamar Matthews and Scooter. It's obvious neither of them deserve chance after chance. They are lowcard at best, and Scooter should be interviewing guys like Joel Thunder or EB Marcus. He has no business in the ring. While precious airtime that should be focused on the members of New Era, it's being wasted by Scooter's transformation into El Scoocho.
Eve: I still don't think he is going to be happy reading this.
Marquee: He will, just keep writing. Scooter and Jamar should be given very little airtime, if any at all. Now onto my cousin Tommy. It's true that he has had some success in the past, but you must remember that was the past. It's true that he was a former ML:XL World Champion. It's true that he has had success in mixed martial arts. Just like Nathan Lucas, that doesn't mean alot. Tommy...T-Bomb...should have never been given a spot in the match at Wrestival Six. The fans do not care to see him there. He has no support. Once again, a waste of WPW's money. Now let's move on to WPW World Champion Frost.
Eve: Frost?
Marquee: Yes. Silverman is wasting money on him as well.
Eve: Seriously?
Marquee: My line.
Eve: Sorry, it's habit.
Marquee: Keep writing. I'll massage your shoulders when we are done.
Eve: Oooh, sounds nice.
Marquee: Focus.
Eve: Sorry.
Marquee: Understand this Silverman, while the main event at Wrestival will draw a huge crowd, the reason is that I am in it. The WPW fans were promised a year ago that I would be going into Wrestival 6 in the main event. I made the challenge to myself and I accomplished it. The tickets for Wrestival 6 were sold a year ago when I made that statement. Pushing Frost was a waste of money. Instead of having a contract signing last week on Silverstars, WPW should have used that time to run what the people wanted to see. WPW should have used that airtime to run a ten minute recap of my career over the last year. It's obvious that I'm going to be the World Champion after Wrestival.
Eve: True boss.
Marquee: Keep writing. Silverman, a special tribute to Marquee should be ran the week following Wrestival. This in turn would draw huge ratings and possibly set the wheels for you to get back into the good graces with the other BOD Members and WPW owners. Following that should be you putting Scooter back to interviewing, Jamar back to simply low card jobbing, my cousin Tommy to becoming a full time referee, and Frost....well maybe he can stay. We'll be needing some mid-card talent to take on guys like Nathan Lucas and Joel Thunder.
Marquee stops talking and walks over and puts his hands on Eve's shoulders.
Eve: That it boss?
Marquee: End it with sincerely yours, Marquee. Be sure to capitalize SINCERELY.
Eve: Got it.
Marquee: Now take that to the desk clerk and have her mail it to WPW offices and then see if she'll send up a bottle of wine.
Eve: Oh goody, we get wine.
Marquee: It's time to party with the next WPW World Champion.
Eve: Ohhh that sounds nice.
Eve stands up and as she turns to walk out the door, Marquee pats her on the butt. She lets out a little "ouch" and winks at Marquee.
Marquee: Hurry back babe, it's going to be a long night.
Marquee: Five lamps? Seriously?
Eve: What boss?
