T-Bomb Talks to MMA Weekly.com, his future why he left WPW and his next big move as he trains in Amsterdam for his next title defense.
MMA: On September 11 in New York city you lost a loser leaves WPW match, now in case a lot of people don’t know but pro wrestling is mainly scripted, so why did you lose the match in New York!
T-Bomb: My contract with WpW expired on September 15 and WpW knew back in July that I was to focus on MMA while I am still in my prime,so they asked me to put over Robbie and think I did a good job doing that at Heat wave and at the house show!
MMA: So was that the reason why it wasn’t on TV!
T-Bomb: I would of showed up and done it on TV, but the bosses felt it would be great to have a history making match on a house show, and also it didn’t bleed in to their TV plans for that week! Also I might add that my contact was a month to month deal so they or I could of broke it with notice and I was getting paid every week even when I was doing MMA so I felt like I had to make sure that Robbie got over there and still not hurt my legit image that’s why I didn’t tap out and got pinned.
MMA: it sounded like a good deal did they not want to re sign for the same deal!
T-Bomb: No, it was just about the same deal they just wanted secured dates and first rights and also some major MMA promotions wouldn’t talk to me because of that and also WPW held exclusive North American rights for promoting! I aloud to wrestle or do MMA overseas but nothing on states without their permission, and that limited my MMA dealings touraments or even signing with a stateside promotion!
MMA: You have one more fight with Sauna and there is talking going around that you are going to sign Pankration 2.0!
T-Bomb: I have hear it all that was even going to sign with XWF, in fact they offered me a contact right after the September 11 show.
MMA: who Pankration 2.0 or XWF?
T-Bomb: XWF,I not saying who or what I am doing in till after my fight I am doing a weeklong tour of J-Pro doing 3 shows for them in a week! After that I might sit and see what offers are out there and if u need a workout I can always go after the wpw All-Time TV Championship!
MMA: So you still have a good working relationship with them!
T-Bomb: Oh yea, without giving away what I am planning on doing. My departure from wpw was business and needed to be done to help my MMA career!
MMA: Named your favorite wpw moment!
T-Bomb: Reign of Pain match with Ulie!
MMA: maybe a rematch?
T-Bomb: well we had a rematch a wrestling match, one of the worse match’s did are Reign of Pain Match no justice of my life, but if he is free and I am free and the money is good then maybe Reign of Pain II
MMA: Good Luck, Tommy!
T-Bomb: Thank You!!!
