WpW's hip online web-cast that is replayed throughout the week on WpW TV entitled "Roomer Monger" is on the air! The Roomer Monger set is staged with Holiday decorations.
Conner Young: So YEA! We’re LIVE from New York! Our Christmas present to you. We have WpW majority owner with us. This is his second time EVARRRRRR to be here. GOT to be on best behavior. We are on location at the WpW Christmas party, Where‘s my co-host is she spiking the eggnog already with vodka??? Ohhhhh Alyssaaaaaaaa????????????!!!!!
Alyssa Davis: Don’t listen to him people! I’m right here of course. Let’s waste no time though, I’m ready to party as soon as this show is done.
CY: We really do need to credit him for being the one who got this ball rolling again. If it wasn’t for San Diego Comic-Con then World Pro Wrestling might not even be back like it is now.
AD: Don’t forget All-Stars. The fans flocked back to the online forum to get in on the voting for Season Two. We were even in on that as well!!!
CY: COME AWWWWWN! I should have lasted longer. But I’m not going to gripe! Here’s the guy that is the mind behind All-Stars and GoldPush 50. Hot off of producing November Reign WpW’s first pay per view back! It's the majority owner. RYANSUP! It's RYANSUP RYANSUP Party Time, Excellent!!!!
Ryansup: Didn’t you introduce me like that four years ago when I did the program?
CY: Yes sir. I did.
AD: He’s been studying up. Let’s get right to finding out what you think about several topics. We also have lots of fan questions to cover in this hour. Let’s begin with Comic Con. That panel both Conner and I were on. It really energized the fans and got people talking about our company.
Ryansup: I'm pleased to be able to do THIS for our fans and faithful followers. It's just a way of me showing APPRECIATION to everyone taking the TIME to be on the show today. Happy to be here. It's interesting because the San Diego comic con provided a unique situation. It put WpW back on a pop-culture stage without any operating costs of premature openings. My background dates back to the early 90’s in that industry owning a business that catered to the Comic Book collector/reader/fan. The panel brought World Pro Wrestling headlines and helped springboard to the re-launch. I was happy to produce that happening & feel it’s positive impact is overlooked by many behind the scenes.
CY: You’re the man behind the scenes that has made All-Stars possible. Talk about how important it was to getting WpW going again! WOULD YOU please?
Ryansup: Without All-Stars and the consistent produced programming I don’t believe WpW would even have the fan-support it does now. And it’s roundly felt the current level is not what it needs to be. Oddly enough There are some within WpW that feel All-Stars should abruptly END once live events started. It is unfortunate those single individuals do not appreciate the hard work that was put in for 15 weeks which helped show the wrestlers and fans alike that WpW can bring a good product and platform once again to the masses.
CY: COME AWWWWN PEOPLE! GET off this man’s back! He’s busting his hump for this place! HOW DARE YOU INGRATES!!!!
AD: Conner! Chill.
Ryansup: My focus is shining a light on WpW’s history and attempting to build back the prestige and value the company truly has. One reason we were successful on the summary judgment was because the damage done in 07’ to WpW’s championships prestige and value was in such a perfunctory manner that there was no continuing. However programs like All-Stars, WpW Classics, and the displaying of World Pro Wrestling records have made inroads in restoring WpW’s legacy and storied history.
AD: A noble effort I’m sure but tell us if you feel All-Stars Season II did what you had wanted.
CY: She’s wanting to know ARE YOU HAPPY ABOUT IT? HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY???
Ryansup: I’m very pleased with the All-Stars Season Two. My goal was to produce a weekly show, give fans something they could interact with. It would also display to prospective wrestling talent that WpW was serious on it’s relaunch.
AD: I love Firebomb he’s so cool. He is the real heel but since All-Stars II he became a fan favorite. How did this transformation take place?
CY: YEA! COME AWWWW! What gives? He is supposed to be boo’d for being an idiot and told we hate you go away dumbASSSSS!!!! What the heck is going on?
Ryansup: Firebomb’s popularity is not uncommon by pro-wrestling standards. Wrestlers get cheered who have put 25 years into the business even if for the overwhelming majority of career vilified or hated at some point the fans decide to respect that type of longevity. I’m proud that Firebomb gets to enjoy the fruits of his labor and adulation from the people after performing in front of them for all these years.
AD: And what about Slayback?
Ryansup: Slayback’s position is somewhat more contrarian but it does clearly show to everyone just how important it can be to get exposure from WpW cameras. He was only All-Star in season two to actually bring cameras to him to get comment & his thoughts on All-Stars. While he played himself to the hilt as a heel the entire way, the viewers were exposed to him and thusly put their vote to continue his push onward and ultimately into the finals. Another factor to Slayback’s support is the pace he is on in terms of WpW records to push out of the way some on top currently..
AD: It's hinted at that someone working in WpW classics is a big fan of Slayback care to shed some light on that person???
CY: I’m sorry Ryan, please forgive my cohost for prying on things that are NONE OF HER BUSINESSSSS!!!!! The man isn’t going to answer that!
Ryansup: It’s ok Conner, it’s not a problem.
AD: Ok Care to address it?
Ryansup: Yes, I personally have been in the WpW Classics vault compiling official records in recent months. I’m indeed very proud that Slayback’s accomplishments are being highlighted as he has an opportunity to pass luminaries that still stand ahead of him in the record books in terms of most wins etcetera.
AD: When is the third season of All-Stars set to begin and will you answer the scuttlebutt going around that you would rather someone else be in charge of live event production?
Ryansup: All-Stars III will commence in a few weeks. If I had my choice I would remain as just overseeing things when needed, standing aside and just letting the BOD make decisions on winners, losers, pushes during live event production. I’d love to just be able to focus my efforts on All-Stars fan-balloting, and WpW Classics on WpW TV. That hasn’t been the case to this point. Roy Lee & Tyger Lilly have not found a producer within the BOD that is willing to maintain the high quality standard of show that WpW prides itself on. I’m hopeful that Tyger Lilly has a plan in place as I intend to produce GP 50 but after that turn regular show production to the Board Of Directors.
CY: This Board why in the hell is there even one. Sounds like a bunch of morons with their thumb up their ass telling you what to do but not willing to do anything! WHAT GIVES!?!
Ryansup: The Board Of Directors is my attempt to delegate and let trustee members have their voice in the product. I have no interest in power. I love producing. The 15 weeks of All-Stars II shows with very little “help” as it were, should be evidence of this. My interest is in rebuilding WpW’s value through showcasing its historic legacy and championships and providing wrestlers with opportunities.
AD: There have been a couple of critics on the topic that you allowed it to be an open process in finding talent to go for the Big Gold and World titles at November Reign. Care to set the record straight?
Ryansup: Yes, There are critics of it. I merely would argue the point of just how poor the support & showing would be from wrestlers if there had been no open Big Gold or World opportunities to former champions. And to those who ignorantly continue to pound the decision to include Mike Sensation and Firebomb in the November Reign open World Championship match, I’d like to point out something which continues to be overlooked. When WpW went dark, it was part in parcel due to controversial decisions by the former GM and his hand-picked Champion to keep Firebomb out of a title match. It is forgotten by the detractors that Firebomb was a recent All-Time Television champion as well as Continental Champion in that same year. While his lack of grammar and spelling skills can be debated, Firebomb’s merits in terms of top contender he has few equals. As for Mike Sensation those saying he shouldn’t have been considered for the World Championship the critics are utterly clueless.
CY: YEA!!!! A bunch of dumbASSSSSES!!!! Stupid critics! God bless Mike!
Ryansup: In the era when WpW was at it’s first ending. It was Mike Sensation who was Big Gold Champion nearing 300 days. It was Mike who was passed over by the former GM. In essence ‘screwed over’ countless times. Mike merited the opportunity he was provided at November Reign. Any critic that doesn’t feel Mike or Firebomb earned their opportunity is ignorant to history. November Reign was WpW’s first event back. Without the Big Gold Title or the World Championship I know for a fact this card would not be up to par. It would not even be worthy of putting on. We provided opportunities to former champions. They EARNED IT! It was fair. Following GoldPush 50 WpW moves forward for good. The “WpW 50 Best” List recognizes ONLY the matches, wrestlers and accomplishments achieved from 2003-2007.
AD: We plan on discussing the “WpW 50 Best” list later but let’s stay on the topic of November Reign and why it was mostly just matches.
CY: STORYLINES RYAN!!! THE FANS WANT STORYLINES!!!! GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY DEMAND!!!! Actually I think the name is World Pro Wrestling not World Pro Storytime. But the people want to know if the storylines will begin at GoldPush Fiddy!
Ryansup: Sure. I think most storylines will begin to really unfold after GoldPush 50. In my viewpoint I felt like November Reign just needed to be straight-forward, introduce some new players, and crown a couple of stalwarts as champions to set the table.
AD: There is a rumor that you didn’t even have a say in who would be champions at November Reign. That is remarkable that an owner that could flex power did not decide the winners.
CY: Spoiler alert, Pro-Wrestling is entertainment to all of you “its still real to me” morons!!!! Ok So is it true you didn’t even say what you think as far as picking winners?
Ryansup: No, I didn’t make the decision on results. Luckily we had enough Board of Directors support to get that accomplished where it would prove that show production was neutral and impartial. There was no train of thought of ‘I want so and so to win so I can have this occur’. It was more like ‘Ok this is what’s been decided by the BOD then here’s a good happy ending to tie up the loose ends of their decision’.
AD: What about the rumor that is circulating that Lilly didn’t or doesn’t want Firebomb as WpW World Champ?
Ryansup: Yes, neither Roy Lee or Tyger Lilly wanted Firebomb in the World Championship match. He(Firebomb) qualified based on the criteria and he showed he had more heart, desire, and work ethic than Mike Sensation. Once the signups were held the only two wrestlers that met the criteria set forth to vie for the World Championship were Mike Sensation and Firebomb, It was clear that Tyger Lilly did not want to present the championship ring to either of the two whoever were to win. I had set in place during All-Stars II production and programs for there to be Roy Lee presenting the ring to Mike Sensation should he win.
CY: That could have happened? WHAAAAAAAT????
Ryansup: The direction was open-ended. It could have been one of a swerve where the two join forces, it could have been one of continuation of storied feud. Because of the unique confines and parameters this pro-wrestling business model that WpW has, I’ve had to make most storylines or situations open-ended because results are dictated not by what one person wants but on who earns the victories.
AD: Ok let’s lighten the mood a minute. I’ve heard there were several easter eggs or hidden gems sprinkled throughout November Reign’s telecast. Something about during the Diddy Dirty Money theme song and then also one dealing with the Burning Hammer being inactive.
Ryansup: Hidden gems? The November Reign video clips intermixed with specific song lyrics wasn’t coincidence. I can attest to that. As for the quick cutaway from Doug Gavelon’s remaining in-active speech; Yes, I can confirm that the insertion of the Roy Lee Rumble sponsor ‘NFL Play 60’ which is a program to ENCOURAGE ACTIVITY was another production decision.
CY: YEA! COME ON DOUG DROP THE BS! Get to work!
Ryansup: Conner, I don’t think you are fully aware of what is going on in Doug’s life.
CY: He needs to do the “Dougie” get in a good mood and get back to a WpW ring!
AD: Let’s get back on topic, November Reign. You presented the World Championship ring that the winner gets to keep for life. A rare thing you appearing in front of WpW cameras. What’s the backstory?
CY: She’s reading a fan’s question. It says here “Should Ryan appear on more WpW programing? Absolutely not. Make it special.” LISTEN YOU STUPID FAN! He’s the man. He can show up every time the camera comes on! COME AWWWWN!! It’s not like he is hardly ever ‘HOGGING’ air-time like some GMS we used to have!
Ryansup: I’ve made in WpW’s 7 year history approximately ONLY TWO on-camera appearances and I agree with the fan it should remain special. I’ve never been one of those authority types to appear every show or whatever. In all my years as mentioned I’ve made approximately two on-camera appearances during WpW events and then a couple during my time operating ML:XL and remained solely behind the scenes while in Webb’s Bayou Wrestling. I’m of the belief of letting the wrestlers be the ones showcased. I have no interest in becoming on-air General Manager or doing any Owner angle or storyline in WpW. If someone else on the Board wishes to participate and get involved that’s fine but it’s not something I care to do. I’m happy that some fans liked my rare on-camera appearance and can assure you I won’t be appearing on-camera at GoldPush OR on a WpW pay-per-view again anytime in the foreseeable future. The ring presentation to Firebomb was right-place, right-time situation. It fit perfectly that both Tyger Lilly & Roy Lee were dejected and did not wish to appear. It also was seamless & organic as Firebomb and I go back to 2000 working with one another.
AD: I’m interested in this. The backstory of the ending to November Reign. How it came about?
Ryansup: It’s a neat story in fact that Firebomb actually did NOT know I would be coming out to present him the ring. He was told he could give a post-match speech and the only subject matter he was given was to confine his remarks in context with past champions but however he wished. He didn’t inform me he was going to mention my contribution to his career and nor did he know I was going to be the ring-presenter nor did he know to my knowledge that Simon would be appearing to end the event. We haven’t spoken about it so I look forward to you guys getting Firebomb’s side of the story and his feelings at some point. It was a unique moment indeed. I believe if Mike Sensation would put in enough effort to win, it would have been a very special rewarding moment as well.
CY: YOU would have presenting Mike the ring, since Roy Lee wasn’t in the building? Ryansup joins Ego-Driven if Mike Sensation had won?!? OH MY GOD!!!!
Ryansup: Of course I could have seen myself being an honorary “Ego-Driven” member presenting Mike a championship ring. After all I’m the one behind the scenes bringing to light all of Slayback’s records for public display. Haha.
AD: That is hilarious but sadly there are some pointing out Mike’s reported leaking of his lack of desire to wrestle for WpW. He did this two days before a promotional deadline that had went on for three weeks. Is it true what most people are saying that he tried to make Firebomb’s eventual victory seem less noteworthy as plus some sort of sympathy and spotlight? Also what about the alleged code that both Mike Sensation and Doug Gavelon claim “not in right mind” to compete in WpW ACTUALLY means they are too busy kissing former GM ass on face book?
CY: DISGUSTING!!!! Twitter is the way to go! Down with Facebook! Follow me Peeps! DO NOWWWWW well after the show.
AD: Conner, please. I want to hear Ryan’s response to this.
CY: You act like this is your show now Allyssa. Don’t hog the spotlight and stop trying to upstage me! Ok Ryan, is it true the rumors on Mike trying lessen Firebomb’s victory?
Ryansup: It is unfortunate that there seems to been an attempt to diminish Firebomb’s hard work & efforts but the World Champion has the opportunity to prove his critics wrong in his first title defense presumably at WpW’s next pay-per-view. As far as the “not in right mind” code rumors? I think people by their action or in-action will prove as time goes by where their loyalties actually lay. My view point is they can participate in WpW as they wish if they sincerely wish for the place to succeed. No pressure from me either way. It’d be great to have WpW newsmakers want to extend their legacies and put themselves at the top of WpW all-time best benchmarks but if they don’t have the drive & passion I can’t force it into them. My job is to just provide the stars opportunity and I’ve done that.
CY: Let’s go to some fan questions Driftwood asks “What former roster member would you personally like to see return to the active roster?”
Ryansup: I probably should duck this question as well as the last one and just reiterate my comment just seconds ago about stars participating as they wish. But I’ll use this platform to mention I’d love to see a whole list of previous roster members return in no particular order off the top of my head: Alexandria Hart, Dynamic Dynamite, Drifter & Brooke, Brooke Starwind as well, Lost Soul, Henry Miller, Irey Sanchez, Johnny Onyx…
CY: It’s only an hour show.
AD: I imagine he could name more but we have a Christmas party to attend.
Ryansup: Yes, I could keep going because I surely wouldn’t want someone to feel left out.
CY: Driftwood also asks “Is there any former member of the WPW roster that is completely banned from returning to the active roster?”
Ryansup: For those who read through the media about the Sept 3 presser where Tyger Lilly & Roy Lee addressed WpW’s 2007 demise then they are aware that Tyger is completely opposed to Aj Huffman being involved again in any way. I think my view is more along the lines of Roy’s. If former GM Supreme was heartfelt & sincerely apologized to us on the damage he did then for sure reconciliation, second chance etc may be afforded. Aside from those wrestlers Huffman personally managed I’m not sure there is anyone outright “banned”. I believe throughout WpW history there are a couple of more people unwelcome such as Matt Ward, Johnny Soprano, and Sickle.
AD: What about the wrestlers who were looking for something new?
CY: WpW is now the something new!
Ryansup: No, I don’t believe anyone he poached to join his regional upstart at the time are banned. They of course ARE WELCOME to participate in World Pro Wrestling if they so desire.
AD: Why weren’t you in attendance at the September 3rd Press Conference that Lilly and Roy held alone?
Ryansup: Because Tyger Lilly & Roy Lee are the office personalities that the wrestling media & fans are most familiar with. Only the so called smarts or smarks to the insides of the business are familiar with the work I’ve put in on the production side.
CY: You were at the Relaunch one but I guess that’s different. Roomer Monger returns after this time out.
AD: Welcome back to Roomer Monger. Allyssa Davis with Conner Young. We're here in New York City today at the WpW Christmas Party. One of our guests joining us today as we film is the majority owner making a rare appearance on camera. Getting back to the questions. Ryan, How tough was November Reign production to pull off a successful show?
Ryansup: Well again thanks for having me! As for November Reign, it did take a lot to make what would have been a lackluster event seem great. There was much more involved than the staff just slapping together some matches.
CY: We have a question here some someone “Seemed like an awful lot of commercials for a pay-per-view. What gives?” WE JUST HAD ONE OF OUR OWN!!!! DAMN FREAKING COMmmmercials!!!!
AD: That sounds like it was from you, Conner.
CY: It wasn’t I promise The fan just says “What Gives” like me. Ok Ryan seems like lots of commercials for a pay per view. What Gives?
Ryansup: I whole-heartedly and vehemently disagree. We ran only ONE 30 second spot following Terry Hawkins match and it was for our chief sponsor “Toyota-Moving Forward” as well as the “Moving Forward” theme was stressed during the Tyger Lilly & Roy Lee Sept 3 Presser.
AD: And what of GoldPush 50 commercial?
Ryansup: I do not feel a video package promoting GP 50 is a commercial. Likewise a promo for Roy Lee Rumble 2011. There was a commercial which was only ONE MINUTE and EIGHT SECOND trailer for our other key sponsor Star Wars Force Unleashed Video game. A 30 second spot for our Roy Lee Rumble sponsor “NFL play 60” In sum total that is 2 minutes and 8 seconds during a couple of hours of wrestling. SEEMS more like someone is seeking something to complain about.
CY: Yea fan! WHAT GIVES FROM YOU!? Stop complaining about two minutes during hours of wrestling action!
AD: Any juicy November Reign production stories that haven’t leaked out yet?
Ryansup: I suppose I can tell just one story. Did you know Tommy D Powers attempted to upstage the main event?
CY: TDP tried to just walze in and steal their thunder?
Ryansup: It was disallowed pre-show because my feeling was he had not put in the work in the weeks leading up to November Reign to merit upstaging Mike Sensation or Firebomb. Tommy had the opportunity if he had seized it to put himself in the match but he hesitated or refrained. There were quite a few individuals that kept their names back from participating. If they did not believe WpW could relaunch then so be it. I will say this however on that subject, if EVERYONE took the opinion of “I’ll just sit back and see how things go” before entering the fray, then nothing would ever get accomplished. To that I appreciate those like Mike Sensation, Firebomb, Slayback, Simon Terry, Johnny Jester, & Terry Hawkins for stepping forward.
AD: You’re even thanking Mike Sensation???, the guy tried to demean Firebomb’s moment in the sun by leaking news of his quitting two days before promotional deadlines! Why thank him? Is it because of his wreck?
CY: What gives? You’re thanking him?
Ryansup: Yes, because he DID put his name forward and he DID sign up to seize the opportunity that was provided and he DID do a press conference and conducted a promo to try and acheive something he hasn't done yet in WpW. Mike Sensation did more than most & I defend my workers! Firebomb proved as mentioned to have more heart and desire in this cycle. 10, 20 years from now is when the legends a top the WpW record books can proudly tell their grandchildren about their accomplishments.
AD: Ok let’s now discuss the “WpW 50 Best” listing. The top 10 is going to be revealed on GoldPush. We don’t even know who is on it for sure.
Ryansup: Indeed it is a tight lipped secret. I will say this, it was somewhat surprising how the top 10 added up.
CY: You disagree with the top 10?
Ryansup: Yes, I can say there are a few spots I do not agree with but it was compiled in a fair, impartial way.
CY: COME AWWWWWNNNN!!! Who would you put in the WpW Best top 10 that isn’t in? Tell us.
Ryansup: No, due to it being a closely guarded secret, I can’t say now who I would put where in the top 10 if it was just my choice to do whatever. HOWEVER, I can just say it doesn‘t line up like I alone would have done it. But I respect the list & the results. After the list comes out maybe there will be a sparked discussion, debate over the top 10’s merits.
AD: Ok then what about the rest of the “WpW 50 Best” who would you put in or out or up and down. Any changes you’d make if it was just up to you?
Ryansup: Sure, If I had to name a couple of people outside the top 10 I’d move around, Chris Lee would be lower. Johnny Onyx likely higher. Looking deeper at the 50, I can say now limiting it to only 50 is difficult. When the process began there were discussions that it was impossible to find 50 past WpW stars worth recognizing. That’s not the case at all now as the debate concludes on finishing the list.
CY: SO what's the deal with the 50 best?
Ryansup: The “WpW 50 Best” is something to commemorate GoldPush 50. I’m sure 10 years from now or whenever GP100 occurs that the list will look different. I look forward to that. The stars have something to reach for. WpW has records that are attainable. It’s something tangible. It creates goals outside just winning a championship. There are lots of feds with champions. World Pro Wrestling provides more value to it’s belts, more value in giving the talent records to reach for.
CY: The show I used to be lead-commentator on Elevation. There’s no record book posted anywhere at the World Pro Wrestling forums on it. Come AWWWN. What gives?
Ryansup: Actually Tyger Lilly recently requested I look into that. So yes, in the coming months I’ll be back in the vault compiling Elevation’s record book.
AD: We received a few questions asking about more classic episodes of GoldPush needing to be posted online or put on WpW TV network. I’ve heard about people being very upset and pouty that everything from the vault isn’t uploaded to the internet. Can you answer why that everything is not all out there?
Ryansup: The GoldPush episodes are being rolled out sporadically for a reason. Yes, it’s unfortunate it’s never enough for some few individuals. Some people you just can never please. This weekend there was a marathon running several episodes that have not been shown in years on WpW TV.
CY: Everyone is talking about GoldPush 50. What matches are going to happen?
Ryansup: There are a couple of Contender matches & of course the All-Time Television championship will be decided.
AD: Anything else?
Ryansup: Throughout the historic 50th GoldPush we will be revealing the Top 10 in order. A few of the Top 10 taped video clips backstage before November Reign but none of the 10 have been told what number they are listed.
CY: Since I’ve been passed over for the commentator spot. I have to know. Was that your doing Ryan? You can let me down easy by telling the truth. Scooter over me? COME AWWWWN! What gives?
Ryansup: Scooter’s placement in the commentating booth wasn’t my idea. I’m uncertain how it will work out and won’t impede the support Scooter has from several vocal forces.
AD: How about the House Shows that are scheduled in upcoming weeks. How is that going?
Ryansup: The house shows are a work in progress. If the talent shows initiative then it’s just another aspect that makes WpW a great organization to be part of.
AD: There is a rumor that Tyger Lilly is paranoid about things going on in WpW. Care to refute those rumors and if that will be introduced as a storyline onto WpW television?
Ryansup: The paranoia can be characterized as real. I’m of the belief that legitimate situations make for the best storylines. I’m unsure what the future holds on their collective attitudes.
AD: Speaking of attitudes, your critics like to demonize you privately wanting to paint you as having one. Even a laughable moment where you wanted things in WpW to remain positive but by doing that you were portray as having an attitude. Care to address it?
CY: OF COURSE NOT! Ryan is kind and caring. DON’T EVEN LOWER yourself to address such foolishness. But you can if you want to.
Ryansup: Chalk it up to a person or two who do not like being called out on fence-riding or being two-faced. Only someone with a hidden agenda would complain about management wishing to snuff out any negative vibe. It’s the nature of the business. The same critic will change their theme or complaint to fit whatever latest thing they want to whine about next. Just my generalized statement HERE will likely be complained out privately by those who seek to find something wrong with me. Some people can't take the least bit of criticism. I’d rather focus my hours and hours of work I put into World Pro Wrestling into attention on POSITIVE productive things going on in WpW.
AD: Take us into an inside look at what goes into producing WpW television. How far in advance do you begin working on things?
Ryansup: What usually happens in terms of process is this; In the promotional weeks leading up to say GoldPush 50, I’m working on preliminary prep-work for things like the next pay per view. Well in this case, I’m currently working on All-Star 4.
CY: What about All-Stars Three? I heard it was for past WpW champions only! What gives?
Ryansup: Yes, All-Stars 3 will be themed “Champions Edition”. Only WpW title holders past and present will be on the ballot. The VIP panel selected I believe 5 All-Stars several weeks ago. It was after this that I completed the list just about. We are near the final cut off for the actual ballot that will happen. As that is going on, I’m doing a little bit of prep-work on Season 4.
AD: And what can you tell us about the 4th season?
Ryansup: Tentatively it will be something along the lines of “A Season FOR Winners”. A couple of names to look for in 4th season that are not in season three as they do not qualify but to make their All-Stars ballot debut during 4, could be Donnovan Midas and Cam Ferguson. Both are past “Grab For Grudge” winners.
CY: Make some news here and give us a couple of names who haven’t been revealed yet for Season Three coming up!!! COME AWWWWNNN RYAN!!! Give us names!
Ryansup: Well two names making their All-Stars ballot debut during Season III looks like will be Jesse Williams and Jeffrey Davis. Both also are part of the “WpW 50 Best” list in the top 20.
AD: I have a question about EB Marcus they want to know is he being left out off things like November Reign on purpose. This questioner went on some incoherent rant about holding grudges. Sorry it really made no sense. Anyway EB Marcus what’s his status and why wasn’t he at November Reign?
Ryansup: It was his decision not to be part of November Reign. He has a good storyline to implement & his official WpW television debut being GoldPush 50 is an appropriate place for it. Marcus is vocal against the legends so what better place for him to debut than the night we are honoring the top 10 of “WpW’s 50 Best”?
CY: Sounds like a problem waiting to happen!
Ryansup: Quite frankly the synergy couldn’t be better. He was the first to pro-wrestler to sign with WpW upon the relaunch and for that he’s been afforded a contendership opportunity. That is how much I appreciate him. I can assure you there are no grudges towards him from me in any way shape or form. The opportunities he’s being provided should be evidence enough of that.
AD: What about the rumors about this alleged “Shane Anderson” signing?
Ryansup: I believe Firebomb will address this purported Shane Anderson situation AT GoldPush 50 in some form.
CY: Let’s talk about the roster. Slayback is talking really big things. Is he full of hot air?
Ryansup: He could back up all of his talk about being WpW’s best ever over the next year or so. He is on pace to break some records if he pursues them. Slayback has made people laugh when he boasts he is better than his Ego-Driven counterpart Mike Sensation but he genuinely has the opportunity to pass his partner in time.
AD: There is a rumor Tommy D Powers has already went on vacation again just days after November Reign. Is he sulking and pouting because his segment didn’t go as he originally wanted?
Ryansup: The rumors of problems with TDP are completely FALSE. He has no problem from what I understand with the way his segment was produced even if he wasn’t as he initially proposed. I could not in good conscious allow a non-worker upstage our two main eveners who did put in some effort. I believe in supporting the workers and have a long-history and good reputation of protecting the wrestlers who bust their ass working for the company.
CY: Here’s a question from a fan “Do you expect more ex-WpW fedders to return now that we've shown we can put on a show? Absolutely!” What do you think Ryan?
Ryansup: I’d have to AGREE with that assessment.
AD: There are recent reports of Mike Sensation being injured. Reading this directly from the WpW newswire posted online, News broke that late Saturday night, in Glendale, Arizona... Mike Sensation was seriously injured in a car accident. The only details being reveals right now are that a Jeep Commander ran through a red light and plowed directly into Mike's Dodge Viper. He was immediately flown to a nearby hospital where it was reported that he suffered very serious injuries. Mike's agent, Scott McCoy says that he will try to make it to GP50 to update WpW and the fans of Mike's condition. Your reaction?
Ryansup: It’s best I let the newswire speak for itself without speculating in this instance.
CY: Well I have some news. Good news. Bad News. The good news is we have Christmas parties all weekend long. The bad news is our hour is almost up.
AD: Before we go you mentioned doing prep-work on some future WpW projects. Anything else you can tell us that you’re working on?
Ryansup: As I previously mentioned, I’m in the final touches of All-Stars III beginning. Currently working on Season 4 & it’s theme & some first time All-Stars for it. Season IV’s theme is tentatively slated as I talked about earlier. “Season FOR winners”. Something along those lines. Season Five of All-Stars I expect to be back to being open to regular array of WpW personalities. Another project is Wrestival 5 and it’s location is being finalized as well for late spring 2011.
CY: Tis the season to be merry! I know Allyssa is ready to get tipsy at the parties! How about you Ryan.
Ryansup: Yes, That’s why I’m in New York today.
AD: Any final thoughts of wishes to World Pro Wrestling faithful?
Ryansup: I just would like to say that I know Real Life is tough in these trying times but I would hope that those who love WpW might consider instead of letting real life keep them FROM WpW, actually do the reverse and use WpW as a temporary “escape” FROM real life pressures by being PART of WpW. That’s what we’re here for & I would hope those who sincerely care consider letting WpW be their escape. Economic times are tough & with YOUR support World Pro Wrestling will be here for many years to come. Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays as well as New Year to all of our fans.
CY: HELL YEA! YOU SAID IT! NOW LET’S PARTY! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! YEEEE HAWWWWW!!!! GIVE IT UP to our guest today RYANSUP!!!! This Roomer Monger episode is officially over! WAY TO GO! PARTY TIME!
AD: Thank you so much for being with us today. Happy holiday everyone!
CY: Now COME AWWWN! LET’S GO!
