As was discussed a few weeks ago, I'm gonna post a poll tomorrow. Right now, just leave your general thoughts, opinions, etc on Goldpush and what's going on ic for WPW at present - I'll post mine this evening.

I've only read three goldpushes (1st Ever and then the last two) and this one was the best. It definitely had good comedy elements (Mama Celeste Commercial and I found Davids stabbing Mikey in the head with a fork in the middle of the match to be humorous) This gold push also set up matches alot more than the last one did (Even though Rock Hard vs. Davids is a few steps down from Delilah vs. Davids)
I want to know what you guys thought of the gauntlet match. Originally, when I sent it in, I was upset with it. I was upset with it because I spent alot of time on the first two matches, and then I rushed through the last two. I wanted to make the Ares vs. Davids match long, but by the time I started writing it, I got burnt out on the match. The ending that I wrote was to have Ares win it, but the ending AJ or whoever wrote, was much better.

Random Thoughts:
What I Really Liked:
-I'm digging the hell out of the Ares/Fuego/Grendel stuff. So far it's been done pitch perfect, with each one playing a natural foil for the other. I eagerly await the ensuing rp battle.
-Delilah's segment with Scooter. A small little thing that was just fun.
-The Gauntlet match. Aaron, I actually thought it flowed pretty well, and the match as a whole was very well written.
-The flow of the show. A great balance of outside the ring stuff and solid action.
-Build-up for the PPV. Nice to have a card being established with enough time for some build. Hopefully St. Louis GP is chock full of advancing segments and angles.
-Close rp'ing match-ups - The TV Title and Gauntlet match were both very close and highly contested. Keep up the good work!
Mixed Reaction:
-Rock Hard's promo. I enjoy that you can see JT's enthusiasm oozing through the page, but I'm not a huge fan of the "throw up the entire lyrics to the song" deal. It worked for the intro video because it was a quick cut highlight reel, not so much for the Hardcoreholic. On the other hand, I'd actually look forward to an interview segment type deal on a regular basis. We've never really had that in WPW.
-The Ego Driven Boys. Great individual matches from both, but a segment to further their story would've been a cool read.
-TV Title Rps - While the output on these was great, I can't help but think some of these guys would be better served maybe combining some of their rps so you'd have 3 rps that grade very well, instead of 5 two paragraph jobs that don't grade as highly. It's hard to really paint a picture and get the reader engaged with writing so short.
Stock Up:
-Adam Davids. Look at the Gauntlet match rp's in relation to his from a couple weeks ago. Much, much improved.
Stock Down:
-Carlos Bruton. To flake on a match that a)is a slam dunk win and a way to really showcase your guy and b)earned you a title shot is weaksauce.

just a random note, directed at PDJ...
Adam wanted to do something with the both of us, but I went a different direction (temporarilly) while I go to school.... so that's why Slayback's change in demeanor. Don't worry, we arn't abandoning things.
Now I shall go read and react.

Thoughts:
Opening segment/song = awesome. I love things like that. I picture it in my head very vividly and it would make for a sweet intro. My compliments to the chef.
Opening speech by GM AJ - no real compliments or complaints. It did it's job.
Slaback Vs. Ace Wylde, what a pair of losers on the rp board. Cool pic of Orton for SB though.
Mama Celeste may be an instant classic.
Delilah is a delight
Carlos Vs. Timmy D.... yeah, not much to say at present.
Rock Hard's segment seemed to have a lot of work and time spent on it (lots of cool details like how he says TwenTeeNine - you can imagine the guy saying it with little pauses between each sylabyl. I did thing the crowd was a little 'too' into it but hell, it's all good.
Again Delilah shines.
Mike Sensation match.... solid match.
Fuego poking his head back in was great.
I don't really know why Davids, who won the match, got utterly and completely destroyed afterwards. Am I missing something here?
Good to see The Phil.
I like the suspensefull end.
Overall, VERY solid GP. Like was alluded to earlier, the only thing missing was futhering of the Ego-Driven dynamic. Don't worry though, it'll come.

Intro:
Coolness in and of itself, however never hearing the song myself and not having the capabilities to download it here at work. However the spots that are inserted with the lyrics are great.
My only complaint about the intro, is no The Phil lovin'
Something related to The Phil getting fired, and then returning would have been cool, though I am partial to my own guy. = )
AJ Supreme's opener:
Again, have to agree with most of the fed so far, there wasn't too much going on here except to setup the PPV and Goldpush itself.
SlayBack vs. Ace Wylde:
Not too familiar with both of these guys work, and the match itself was.. I dunno. I personally think it "worked" but really wasn't wowed by it.
Mama Celest Pizza commercial:
Too awsome. This just goes to show everyone that the writing staff here reads everything.
Mikey and Delilah:
I think this is shaping up to be a great storyline, feuled well by the T.V. title build up along with this piece and the ending of the match.
Carlos Bruton vs. Timmy D:
Uhm... that match was on the card? Seriuosly I felt like I blinked and missed this match. I understand that Carlos dominated the match on a quantity factor, but I agree with PDJ that this was an awsome opportunity for Carlos to shine, both in the RP sector and in writing a quash match, and I felt a bit dissappointed.
RockHard's Reel:
Pretty well written, and though a bit lengthy in intro, nicely executed. I think this segment could become quite the nice end of Hour 1 segment, or top of Hour 2 piece.
Delilah torments Scooter:
This deserves the full "Laugh Out Loud". Gotta love anything Scooter shows up in.
Mike Sensation vs Pyros vs Brett Johnson
The match itself was stellar, and the pacing was outrageous! I think ending hour one with this match was definetely the right choice.
Grendel's Injured Shoulder?:
Gotta love that littel wrinkle. That whole exchange made me want to re-read the last few goldpush cards again to re-examine all that's going on there.
Gauntlet Match:
OMG. That was nasty sick. I can't say much more on it. Just.. woah. Bloody and grueling. And the AJ / Ares thing aftewards tied it up nicely.
T.V. title Match:
The ending on this defintely helped solidify the Delilah / Mikey thing, and helped set up a longer fued with myself and Delilah, and put Phil over as a Heel.
Setup for St. Louis:
Again, carrying over the AJ / Grendel conversation from earlier, this definetely helps build up a Heatwave match between the Foundation and the Elite. I can't wait to see who the mystery partner is.
Overall:
Great card as far as pacing and segments go, along with buildup for the card pre-ppv, as well as PPV build up. And not to mention during a summer month no less.

Ok, I guess it's up to me to explain a few things....
Back in the late 90's, Ares, Grendel, En Fuego, Mikey, SBK, SST (I'll just put out the names you know) were in a tiny, rebellious fed called the NEW. Fuego and Ares were in a stable called the Alpha Storm and G man was in the Powers That Be. Needless to say, Grendiekins and "The Franchips" had a nasty feud. The big battle.....A match that has never (to my knowledge, feel free to correct me) been so brutal, out of control, and fucking GREAT. On a scaffold above Niagara Falls. Of coarse En Fuego manged to weasel his way into the match, and I wish we still had it archived someplace, but alas, we don't.
The point of Ares putting the whoopin' on Davids was just to send a message to Fuego and GRENDEL. nothing against ya Aaron, NickAres wrote that segment.
On with the rest of the night....
I loved the song opening, It looks familiar though....AJ, didn't you open every NEW show like that?
AJ Supreme's opener:
The GM's state of the WPW address was good, and I'm chomping at the bits to find out what the Heatwave Line-up is.
SlayBack vs. Ace Wylde:
I like the Slayback going all weird thing. Every good fed needs one guy to do it.
Mama Celest Pizza commercial:
Hahahahahahahahahaha
Mikey and Delilah:
Oh geez....When Wendy gave me this idea, I loved it, I don't know how this all started or how it's going to end, but I know that the mute bastard is lovin it!
Carlos Bruton vs. Timmy D:
Ouch. I know sometimes real life gets in the way of this little game we play.
RockHard's Reel:
I'm a fan.
Delilah torments Scooter:
Ahhhhhhhahahahahahaha
Mike Sensation vs Pyros vs Brett Johnson
Now I know why Mike Sensation is the best! Thanks for the education!
Grendel/Fuego/Ares
This angle is very special to me. To be working with these two again is phenomenal. I'm sorry you guys are kinda lost in what's going on. I'll try my best to clean it up a bit.
Gauntlet Match:
Beautifully done. One thing though, Aaron, how the hell does Mikey argue with the ref?
T.V. title Match:
Good friggin grief. I was sweating typing this thing out. The end was kinda of a surprise, I threw it in at the last minute. I'm glad it worked.
Setup for St. Louis:
Ares/Fuego match? Well, here we go again!

Yes but it was a different song. The reason I picked "Some Kind of Monster" is because that was the song that opened the show during WpW's first few shows. Go to the archives and check it out. I just put the new WpW guys and gals in it. And don't worry Phil I'll add some Phil moments in the next one.
I was laughing out loud when I pictured this in my mind. Using the most hand gestures he could.

2. What is the rp'ing battle you most want to see? Mikey/Delilah vs. Phil/Davids!!!
3. Who on WPW's roster do you see as a future World Champion? I'd like to see Ares be "The Franchise" here
4. What opponent would you most like to face? Fuego-Ares, Mikey-Davids, TNDS-Elite
5. Give your thoughts/opinions on the character of the handler who posted above you. He's the Champ, 'nuff said!

1. Who, in your opinion, is the Foundation's Mystery Partner? David Capital
2. What is the rp'ing battle you most want to see? Sensation/Delilah...I have no idea why, I just think it would be interesting
3. Who on WPW's roster do you see as a future World Champion?I'd love to see Davids as the world champ but being more realistic, Mike Sensation
4. What opponent would you most like to face? It was Delilah, but I ave no idea now.
5. Give your thoughts/opinions on the character of the handler who posted above you.
Mikey= really original character, looking forward to what him and Delilah are goin' to do.
Puck and Pyros= I can't remember who's who.
En Fuego = Reminds me of Abyss' old mouthpiece.
6. Any additional questions/comments? I liked the old system of having a poll right after gold push instead of discussion and then a poll.

1. Who, in your opinion, is the Foundation's Mystery Partner? -I think I've got an idea or two...
2. What is the rp'ing battle you most want to see? -Firebomb/Delilah this coming Goldpush - it's almost a guarantee hilarity will ensue.
3. Who on WPW's roster do you see as a future World Champion?
-Slayback's one. Sensation could've been one already if things lined up differently.
4. What opponent would you most like to face?
-Of the people I haven't faced yet, Slayback. I'd have my work cut out for me.
5. Give your thoughts/opinions on the character of the handler who posted above you.
-Davids is a guy on the rise. As I said before, much improved from his first efforts. I look forward to seeing how the Weed Warriors do against the Ego Boys. Some new guys can be shakey when it comes to going head up against some big dogs, but those are the kind of matches you want when you're starting, IMO, because they're the ones you learn the most from.
6. Any additional questions/comments?
-I have to respectfully disagree with Aaron. I actually liked the general reaction, then poll, because when polls come around, it's only about your favorite, or the best, etc. Because of that a lot of cool stuff can get lost in the shuffle.

1. Who, in your opinion, is the Foundation's Mystery Partner? How cool would it be if it was Chris Lee or David Capital? Even better, dig up Rick Vaughn...or JOHNNY THE PIRATE!!! *lol*
2. What is the rp'ing battle you most want to see? still hoping for Slayback/Sensation*lol*....I think the Grendel/En Fuego/Ares stuff is gonna be good.....and also hoping for a chance at the Davids/Delilah hardcore match *hopeful look...lol*
3. Who on WPW's roster do you see as a future World Champion? I don't care if it's a copout....not gonna answer because I feel pretty good about most of the roster.....
4. What opponent would you most like to face? oh, I'm not done with my favorite by a longshot *lol*.....but like I said, Davids/Delilah, hardcore match....after that? who knows....
5. Give your thoughts/opinions on the character of the handler who posted above you. besides the obvious "C'mon, it's Freddie Kruger hanging out with Cheech and Chong. How frickin' awesome is that?!".....I'd say Adam's Alliance is coming along nicely. Good job, dude.
And PDJ is still the man...that is all *in best Walter Cronkite voice*
6. Any additional questions/comments? ummm.....you guys are awesome, margaritas for everybody?*lol*

1. Who, in your opinion, is the Foundation's Mystery Partner?
How cool would it be if it was Scooter in a new 'Sgt. Pepper' (get it?) gimmick. Oh wait, Scooter doesn't get gimmicks. I'm thinking Juan Chavez may come back or something.... I dunno really. DC seems like a good choice... or... wait... oh, I know it! (can't say!)
2. What is the rp'ing battle you most want to see? PDJ Vs. Grendel (I know, I know)... they're still the two big dogs to me.
3. Who on WPW's roster do you see as a future World Champion? I'm shocked and awed (not Iraq style) that Adam/Mike hasn't won yet.
4. What opponent would you most like to face? Tops for me include.... Delilah, Mike Sensation, and PDJ. (Hopefully 2 out of 3 at least will be done before years end.)
5. Give your thoughts/opinions on the character of the handler who posted above you. - I'm her biggest fan! Serriously.
6. Any additional questions/comments? Nawh, I think I'm good. I'll skip the margarita and go for the Jagermeister (or however you spell it)

1. Who, in your opinion, is the Foundation's Mystery Partner?
David Capital would be interesting, as would Stryker returning. An "Upside' kinda reunion thing. Though, I'm not 100% sure who it is myself.
2. What is the rp'ing battle you most want to see?
To be honost: Firebomb vs. Adam Davids would be a fun read I think.
3. Who on WPW's roster do you see as a future World Champion?
Adam Davids shows a lot of room to grow and a desire to fill that room. Just during the time I had competing against him in the T.V. title match last week his game ramped up leaps and bounds.
4. What opponent would you most like to face? Wow.. Nick, this question is a hell of a zinger... I've NEVER had a match against Grendel. Never. I think a RP battle with Grendel would be awsome. Hrm.. who else...
5. Give your thoughts/opinions on the character of the handler who posted above you. - The character of Slayback, I have to admit, is not one of my favorites, however that being said, I may be changing that opinion after the match this goldpush.
6. Any additional questions/comments? Eh, none off the top of my head.

1. Who, in your opinion, is the Foundation's Mystery Partner? - hmmm... Capital doesn't seem right to me, but maybe... I got some other ideas, wouldnt it be cool to see Mike or Slayback as the partner, just a way to get at the Elite before Heatwave lol 2. What is the rp'ing battle you most want to see? - Slayback/PDJ and Delilah/Firebomb should be good 3. Who on WPW's roster do you see as a future World Champion? - Delilah, first woman World Champion in WpW, that would be sweet... also Slayback of course, I didn't get the job done against PDJ, maybe he can. 4. What opponent would you most like to face? - Slayback obviously, for several reasons, PDJ again, and I would LOVE to face Shawn Stryker, but doubt that would ever happen. 5. Give your thoughts/opinions on the character of the handler who posted above you. - The Phil, good to see ya back, and congrats on the TV Title win. 6. Any additional questions/comments? - i'd say more, but just got back from vacation and I am totally drained from the 5 hour drive home... ehhh.... good show though, and I really enjoyed the discussion first.

1. Who, in your opinion, is the Foundation's Mystery Partner? [glow=red,2,300]Capital was my first choice, my second is something I've heard, but I won't tell....DM maybe?[/glow]
2. What is the rp'ing battle you most want to see? [glow=red,2,300]I'm ready for Slayback/Sensation to go all out, or either Sensation/PDJ 2.[/glow]
3. Who on WPW's roster do you see as a future World Champion? [glow=red,2,300]Sensation will be a world champion one day. [/glow]
4. What opponent would you most like to face? [glow=red,2,300]If Drifter were to return to WPW, I'd absolutely love to work a match with PDJ. Out of all the time we've both been here, none of my characters have fought him. My light for Shia Mizbourne is to keep him "Intercontinental Level"....So with him, I'd like to have a battle with Mikey or possibly Tony Ruiz.[/glow]
5. Give your thoughts/opinions on the character of the handler who posted above you.
[glow=red,2,300]It's Sensation. In my book he's in the top two rpers in the fed. I get a good visual for the character too.[/glow]

4. What opponent would you most like to face? -PDJ for the sole reason that he is the champ
5. Give your thoughts/opinions on the character of the handler who posted above you. -Well Drifter has been around for a while from what I have seen and has shown he works hard for what he loves as he is the ML:XL Champ
